Course Objective To explain time value of money, cash flow analysis for investment projects, methods for evaluation of different investment projects and to have engineer candidates make application on these subjects.
Course Content Terminology and cash flow diagrams. Interest factors and their use. Nominal and effective interest rates. Continuous compounding. Present worth and capitalized cost analysis. Unifonn annual cash flow analysis. Rate of return analysis. Internal and external rates of retum. Benefıt/cost ratio analysis. Replacement analysis. Inflation-interest relations. Deprecation. Deplation. After-tax economic analysis. Breakeven analysis.
