Course Objective
Understanding, the basic equations of fluid dynamics, modeling and solution of problems of many engineering fields with them are the main purpose of this course.
Course Content
The course outline follows as: • Viscosity and the mechanism of momentum transport • Shell momentum balances and velocity distribution in laminar flow • The equation of change for isothermal systems • Velocity distributions with more than one independent variables • Velocity distribution in turbulent flow • Macroscopic balances for isothermal flow • Polymeric fluids • Exact solutions of some laminar flows • Introduction to perturbation techniques and its applications in fluid dynamics • Introduction to fluid instabilities.
