COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective To understand explanation of economic, social, political cultural and technological gaps among developped and developing countries and policy applications of against these problems.
Course Content Characteristic of developping countries, development of economic development theories, relationship of population, foreign trade, financial system and agriculture with economic development, finance of economic development, relationship of technology, capital and human capital with economic development, planning and economic development, globalization and economic development.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Differentiate between economic development and economic growth.
2Evaluate the economic, social, and environmental dimensions of development.
3Understand classical and modern development theories.
4Interpret indicators such as income distribution and the Human Development Index (HDI). Evaluate the effects of issues like social inequality, poverty, and unemployment on development.
5Comprehend global development goals (SDGs) and their impacts on countries. Evaluate the role of development economics in developing countries.
6Analyze the impacts of financial resources for development (e.g., foreign direct investment, development aid). Evaluate the influence of international organizations (IMF, World Bank) on development.
7Analyze regional development strategies and propose policy recommendations. Evaluate the contributions of local dynamics to economic development.
8Interpret data and statistics related to development. Prepare research projects to evaluate development processes.
