Course Objective
The main objective of the course is to provide a historical and philosophical framework for understanding the dynamics of international economic relations. History and Political Economy aims to understand the role of different economic actors in the international economic system, such as states as well as international economic organizations, multinational corporations and non-governmental organizations.
Course Content
The History and Political Economy course covers topics such as financial crises, North-South relations, foreign direct investment, multinational corporations, globalization, and understanding how political relations between states are shaped and their impact on international economic conditions.
