Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide learning and analyzing the basic concepts, principles and methods related with production management and extensions. It covers examination of the nature and content of methods of quantitative analysis employed in production management and decision making.
Course Content Production Systems; Continuous, Job Shop and Project Types of Production Systems, Just-In Time Production, Flexible Manufacturing Systems, Qualifications, Advantages and Disadvantages. Forecasting. Inventory Control. Production Planning and Control. Material Requirements Planning. Project Planning and Control. Quality Control and Total Quality Management. Techniques of Statistical Quality Control.
