Course Objective Gaining the knowledge and skills about the transition of the mentally retarded individuals to adulthood, preparation of the transition plan, placement and monitoring at work.
Course Content Vocational and job skills; prevalence of employment of individuals with special needs; characteristics of vocational and job skills; teaching vocational and job skills to individuals with special needs; approaches to teaching vocational and job skills; methods of teaching vocational and job skills; research on teaching vocational and job skills; exemplary practices in teaching vocational and job skills; preparing a transition plan for teaching vocational and job skills; gaining the necessary skills related to work and profession; preparing individuals with special needs for vocation and job; placement of individuals with special needs in vocation and job.
