Course Objective This course aims to provide pre-service teachers with knowledge and skills related to instructional adaptations for individuals with intellectual disability.
Course Content Learning styles of children with intellectual disabilities; the concept of individualization and its importance in education; what to do for individualization; adapting teaching; adaptations in the content of instruction; adaptations in the presentation of instruction; examples of individualization and adaptation in special education classes and schools; examples of individualization and adaptation in mainstreaming/ integration classes; examples of adaptations for academic and non-academic fields.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
