Course Objective The aim of this course is to provide the students with the knowledge of the characteristics of gifted individuals; social, emotional and personality development of gifted children; social, emotional and educational needs of gifted students, academic and career counseling for these students.
Course Content Characteristics of gifted individuals; needs of gifted individuals: social and emotional needs of gifted individuals; individuals; educational needs of gifted individuals; The label of "gifted": its positive and negative effects; social development of gifted children: relationships with peer, family and teachers; loneliness, social acceptance; emotional development of gifted children: asynchronous development, anxiety, depression, suicidal tendency; personality development in the gifted: self-perception, self-confidence; counseling for special groups; learning disabilities, hyperactivity, attention deficiency, academic counseling, underachievement, multi-potentiality, motivation, perfectionism; career counseling.
