COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective To gain knowledge and skills to students with special needs about teaching mathematics.
Course Content Assessment of mathematics skills and concepts, teaching and planning of mathematics, teaching step-by-step and direct instruction approaches, developing problem solving skills, teaching of counting, picking, subtracting, multiplication, division, error types and analysis in mathematics teaching, teaching functional math skills.; the value of money, time, length and weight measurements, geometry concepts and skills ways of teaching, inclusion in the class adaptations that can be made to the teaching of mathematics, math for groups with special educational needs specific teaching techniques/strategies, evidence-based practices in the teaching of mathematics, teaching mathematics adapted to different special education groups.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Describe the basic concepts of mathematics, the necessity, scope, objectives and principles of the lesson.
2Describe the learning theories and learning stages that are necessary to create the educational environment related to mathematics lesson.
3The content of the mathematics lesson forms an individualized education program for students taking into consideration the learning stages.
4Explain the methods and techniques used in mathematics teaching and use these methods and techniques in lesson.
5Describe the environment, tools and materials that are required to create the mathematics lesson plan.
7Apply the daily lesson plan of mathematics lesson.
6Explains how to make an evaluation for mathematics lesson.
