COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree

Course Objective This course aims to provide knowledge about special education, causes of disability, identification and assessment process in special education, characteristics of students with several disabilities, and educational services to be provided to these students.
Course Content Basic concepts; individuals with special educational needs; language and speech impairment; physical disability / chronic illness; multiple disabilitiy; emotion/behavior disorder, classification, prevalence and incidence, causes, screening / diagnosis, team; educational environments; scientifically based applications; the concept of family and the characteristics of families with children in need of special education; attitudes towards children and their families in need of special education; family services, support and legal rights.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
