COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Bachelor's Degree
Course Type Compulsory
Course Objective Learning of advanced piano technics and performing of advanced piano repertoire; playing with musical interpretation and with the elements of musical styles of the composers.
Course Content Piano technics: Staccato & legato technics, phrasing; other technics (wrist & arm). Scale & perfect cadenza (1 key at least; parallel, 4 octaves). Etudes & exercices. Piano repertoire: Advanced works from different musical periods Musical expression: phrasing; all dynamics, musical articulation & styles Sight reading.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Can choose and implement a teaching method suitable to the age, character, ability and development skills of the student.
2Can differentiate the methodological scheme depending on the student's developing process.
3Can complete any missing literature detected in the piano method.
4Can trigger the creative power of the student. (For example, studies conducted with the Orff approach).
5Can compare old and new methods considering also today's educational requirements.
6Can report positive and negative aspects of all piano methods.
7Can create his/her own method after knowing and examining different methods.
