COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Improvement of piano technics and practice methods; improvment the level of the performed works of piano repertoire from different musical periods.
Course Content Piano technics: Staccato, legato, portato & non-legato, accents, phrasing. Scale & cadenza (in 1 key at least, with parallel motion, 4 octaves). Etudes and exercices Piano repertoire: Works from different musical periods (appropiate to student’s level) Musical expression: phrasing, dynamics, musical articulation Sight reading.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knows characteristics of composers' periods in pieces in appropriate to the level of second grade.
2Summarizes passages in pieces in appropriate to the level of second grade.
3Transfers to the other pieces to learn from the examples of works played by inference in appropriate to the level of second grade.
4Compares with contemporary music to their period of music history in appropriate to the level of second grade.
5Applies learning techniques in pieces to the other pieces in appropriate to the level of second grade.

7Determines the effectiveness of the performance to detect mistakes in the playing works in appropriate to the level of second grade.
