COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective Strings (Violin, Viola, Violoncello)Piano Correct playing posture, positioning the instrument, basic bowing techniques, positioning the left hand fingers, using the left and right hands simultaneously, performing small scale works from domestic and International repertoire. -Guitar Understanding basic technical aspects of guitar playing; helping students develop their musicianship and find their musical identity. -Baglama Performing beginner level repertoire. -Flute Learning the proper posture & position for flute; playing with basic technics; making sound production exercices on flute.
Course Content Strings (Violin, Viola, Violoncello) Piano Introduction to the instrument, learning the basic playing principles and applications. -Guitar Basic playing position; exercises and etudes toward finger independence; scale and arpeggio studies; studying etudes and other musical pieces from classical guitar -Baglama Introduction to the balgama; left-right hand positioning; practicing simple melodies; playing pieces in Huseyni and various other maqams; studying songs in general music class. -Flute Knowledge about the instrument; basic information and skills on playing the flute
