Course Objective To introduce the Turks themselves and their understanding of the world, their efforts for enlightenment and their representatives from the beginning to the present. In general, to focus on the interaction of the Turkish world with the currents of thought in the world.
Course Content The Enlightenment movement is one of the influential intellectual movements in the unity and joint action of the Turkish World. To introduce the intellectuals who are the leaders of this movement, which includes the world of language, education and culture; İsmail Gaspıralı, Mustafa Çokay, İşenaali Arabayev, Münevver Kari, Abdurreşit İbrahim, Feyizhani, Kursavi, Alihan Bökeyhan, Ahmet Baytursiniuli, Fıtrat, Çolpan, etc. It is aimed to recognize the works of personalities and activities in the field of language, education and culture. It is to ensure that the currents of thought such as Ceditism and Turkism, which are the other names of the Enlightenment movements, are understood.
