Course Objective The course aims to teach how a critical perspective and critical thinking towards psychology theories can be produced. It will include critical theories in the field of social psychology and researches conducted within the framework of these theories.
Course Content The content of the course consists of the history of critical psychology, its assumptions and the issues it deals with, the aspects from which it differs from mainstream psychology and post-modern critical psychology theories.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Think critically and alternatively by comparing the classical theories in psychology with critical approaches.
2Keep up with modern psychology which transforms together with the transforming world by getting out of the traditional teachings.
3Understands psychology more independently on a socially constructed ground beyond “what must be”.
4Comprehends what effect social constructionism has on the personality and identity of the individual.
5Gains the ability to consider different explanations and results by acquiring an alternative thinking system for mainstream psychology and establishing an alternative relationship with psychology texts.
