Course Objective In this course, it is aimed to understand the qualitative research methods in depth and to use them effectively in the studies to be carried out in the field of Social Psychology.
Course Content At the beginning of each semester, 6 qualitative research methods and one published study for each method will be selected and these studies will be examined. At the end of the examinations, students will plan, carry out and report their studies in the field of Social Psychology with a qualitative method they have determined. (Examples: Narrative Analysis, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), Semiotics, Speech Analysis, Thematic Analysis, Grounded Theory)

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Have a deep knowledge of the use of qualitative research methods in the field of Social Psychology.
2Based on the basic assumptions of qualitative research methods in Social Psychology, know the steps of a qualitative research and applies these steps.
3Understand qualitative studies, make critical evaluation, plan, conduct and report a study in the field of Social Psychology with a qualitative method determined by themselves.
