Course Objective This course will help the students understand the basics of human memory and contemporary advancements in the field. Moreover, current research articles that tap into hot debates will be followed and the students will be able to do brainstorming about these controversial issues. The students will be able to find an opportunity to generate their own opinions and criticisms about research studies and articles.
Course Content Topics that will be covered in the scope of this course will be memory types, functions of the memory, forgetting, neurobiological approaches related to human memory, aging and memory relation, cultural differences on memory, gender-memory relation, and ways to improve memory.
