Course Objective This course aims to provide a general awareness of psychotherapy approaches integrated with psychopathologies by teaching the basic principles about psychotherapy theories used from past to present, especially group therapies.
Course Content This course presents psychotherapies, family and couple therapies, game therapy, psychodrama and group therapies, supporting them with hypothetical examples.

1Explains and distinguishes different psychotherapy theories and practices.
2Recognizes different group therapy approaches.
3Makes case analyzes by making predictions about psychotherapy methods that can be applied on case samples.
4Evaluates the schools of psychotherapy from a critical perspective and discuss their effectiveness.
5Gains perspective on current approaches in psychotherapy.
6Knows the process and functioning of group therapy and raises possible problems about the forms of intervention.
