Course Objective This course is an instructive applied course for students on how to conduct a research project in the field of developmental psychology and how the research should be turned into a scientific article. In the field of developmental psychology, students are expected to create a research paper at the end of the course as in the following steps; presenting research proposal about a research topic they are interested in, collecting data, analysis of the gathered data, and writing result and discussion sections.
Course Content In the first four weeks of the course, students will present one of the four articles they find according to their research areas and topics, and these articles will be discussed in the class. Afterwards, they will prepare a research proposal and receive feedback on it. Upon completion of the data collection phase, they will analyze the data and receive feedback on their analysis. At the end of the semester, they will write the result and discussion sections and receive their feedback so that they will make final arrangements to create a scientific article.

1Learns the process of conducting a research from the very beginning to the end (i.e., from creating a hypothesis to data analysis) by direct experience.

3Selects and applies statistical analysis method in accordance with the hypothesis and the research question.
4Reports and discusses the findings of the research study in an objective and efficient manner.
5Learns how to write a research article.
