Course Objective The aim of this course is to understand the effects of individual and social traumas and to provide applied and theoretical information on measurement and evaluation methods and clinical and psychosocial intervention processes that can be used in this process.
Course Content The content of this course consists of the history of trauma psychology, effects of trauma, trauma types, psychobiology of trauma, post-traumatic stress responses, psychopathology, measurement and evaluation processes, and clinical and psychosocial intervention techniques, secondary trauma, post-traumatic growth.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Defines the concepts and types of trauma in disaster and trauma psychology.
2Explains the early and long-term effects of trauma on the individual and society.
3Recognizes Post-Traumatic Stress responses and psychopathology.
4Gains an idea about the measurement and evaluation methods used in psychological trauma studies and clinical and psychosocial interventions. Applies psychological first aid.
