Course Objective Aim of this course is to introduce professional principals, to look at the problems that can be faced in practice,to provide theoretical and practical knowledge in order to produce effective solutions and give tools for decisions on ethical dilemmas and finally to prepare our students to the field in the light of professional ethical principles defined by Turkish Psychological Association and American Psychological Association.
Course Content Remedial and Positive Ethics, Foundations of Ethical Behavior, Applying Ethical Theories to Professional Standards of Conduct, Ethical Decision Making, Competence and Ethics, Ethics and Professional Boundaries, Informed Consent or Shared Decision Making and Ethics, Confidentiality, Privileged Communications, and Record Keeping, Life-Endangering Patients and Ethics, Assessment and Ethics, Special Topics in Therapy and Ethics, Research and Ethics.
