Course Objective The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of cognitive psychology. The course basically an introduction to human mental processes. Cognitive processes will be explained and discussed according to the basic teories as well as contemporary results of the cognitive tasks. Students will encounter the topics that they are familiar in their everyday life- for example, attention, memory, language, problem solving, decision making etc.
Course Content The basic teories and researches about the mental processes such as attention, memory, perception, decision making, problem solving, language etc.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Acquiring knowledge of the important concepts of cognitive psychology such as attention, perception, memory, language, decision making, problem solving.
2Acquiring knowledge of the important theories and theoretical perspectives in cognitive psychology.
3Acquiring knowledge of important research findings in cognitive psychology.
4Understanding how psychologists design experiments, collecting data, and analysing and interpreting results in major sub-fields of cognitive psychology.
