COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course aims to give an insight of basic concepts associated with neural and chemical underpinnings of human behaviour. For this aim, classic neuropsychology cases and their relationships with psychophysiology principles will be examined.
Course Content Brain, nervous system, neurotransmitters, neuropsychology, introduction to neuroscience.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Acquiring the basic structures of human brain and its functions.
2Understanding the procedure of information process via neurotransmitters in brain.
3Understanding the nature of brain functions during human behaviour (e.g. speech, seeing, motor skills etc.) and psychological processes (e.g. sleep, attention, memory etc.).
4Acquiring the classic neuropsychological cases and understanding the relationship between psychophysiology and the cases.
5Understanding the psychophysiological basis of neuropsychological cases.
