COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective This course aims to examine the principles of shaping in human and animal behaviour. For this aim, the methodologies of classical-pavlovian conditioning and operant conditioning are examined with the classic experiments based on the behaviorist tradition. Additionally, social learning theory is introduced and contemporary researches are aimed to be discussed.
Course Content What is learning and behaviour? Operational definition, habituation, sensitization, classical-pavlovian conditioning and extinction, operant conditioning, reinforcement, punishment and social learning theory.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
