Course Objective The course aims to explain the origins of psychology, its main schools, and its ups and downs as a science, within the context of historical facts.
Course Content The course discusses the emergence of psychology, its basic schools and theories with a historical perspective within the framework the philosophical movements and events of the period that had an impact on it.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Understands the philosophical foundations of psychology.
2Understands the basic paradigms of psychology.
3Position the effects of philosophical currents and natural sciences on the historical development of psychology according to time and context and establish a connection between different currents.
4Comprehends the formation and development processes of movements such as behaviorism, humanism, psychoanalysis, structuralism, functionalism within historical perspective.
5Establishes a connection between the basic paradigms of psychology and social facts.
