Course Objective Developing world economies, industrialization, population growth and increasing welfare increase the demand for energy. However, the reserves of fossil energy resources are limited and are decreasing day by day. The extensive use of fossil energy resources also creates environmental pollution. For these reasons, new and renewable energy sources come to the forefront. The aim of this course is to enable students to understand these energy sources and how they can be used.
Course Content Renewable energy sources, economic status, solar energy, wind energy, biomass usage, geothermal energy, parabolic collectors, solar cells, wave energy, simulation of energy systems.
