In the design of electrical facilities, to comprehend the effects of leakage currents that may occur in these facilities on human life, fire hazard and devices, and to design safety and protection practices and tools against them.
Course Content
Protection and Security Concepts, Network Types, Grounding; function, definitions, grounders, Fault; definitions, fault current circuit, life and fire hazards, Protection Methods, Protection Systems; general definitions, Series Elements; Fuse, Breaker, Disconnector, Switch, Measuring; Measurement transformers, Overcurrent Relays, Distance Protection, Differential Protection.
