COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Associate's Degree
Course Type Compulsory
Course Objective To gain knowledge and skills that enable the understanding of the functioning and functions of the Automatic Control systems in the field of technology together with the mathematical relations. Scada system installation and record keeping operations to gain competencies.
Course Content Open-closed loop control systems, Laplace transform, block diagrams, first and second order systems, system responses, transfer function, proportional, derivative, and integral controller, controller types, stability analysis, SCADA systems basic concepts and application areas, industrial communication protocols and SCADA protocols; the place and application areas of programmable controllers (PLC) in automatic control and SCADA systems; RTU based SCADA systems; writing PLC and SCADA programs for a control system, Modbus TCP / IP communication.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Knows the basic concepts of control systems.
2Makes control system analysis and stability analysis in time and frequency domains.
3Makes PID controller design.
4Write a SCADA compatible PLC program and SCADA program for a control system.
