COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Associate's Degree

Course Objective To teach the basic principles of heating and cooling systems, giving information about the cooling cycle principle, to gain competencies such as demonstration of cooling system electrical circuit circuit elements and their tasks.
Course Content Basic concepts, cooling systems, mechanical cooling systems, compressor, condenser, evaporator, cooling system accessories, refrigerants, defrost and automatic defrost, materials used in the electrical circuit, working principles and characteristics, air conditioning system, air cleaning techniques on air system, air conditioning electrical circuit.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Understands the basic heating and cooling systems and operations.
2Understands the basic principles of cooling and air conditioning.
3Makes selection of suitable heater and cooling serpentine for air conditioning systems.
4Gains knowledge of the tasks of materials used in heating and cooling systems.
5Understands the basic system and operation of air conditioning.
6Detects cooling and heating loads.
