Course Objective	In this lecture, it is aimed to teach the design stages of road project to the students.
Course Content	Concept of Road: Characteristics of road users, Vehicle movements and general characteristics of road traffic, Capacity of roads; Calculation of Traffic Volume in Project Year and Selection of Road Geometric Standards: Characteristics and planning of urban roads, Standards and design of urban roads, Distribution roads, Pedestrian and bicycle roads; Planning of Intersections; Crossover Survey: Horizontal curves and Transition curves, Cross sections and vertical curves; Soil Calculation: Formation of infrastructure, Drainage of roads; Economic Studies.
