Course Objective Students taking this course will have knowledge in the field of Medical Textiles, will be able to design and develop new products, analyze experiment/research results, and present/disseminate the results of their research in an appropriate manner.
Course Content Electrospinning method, parameters, polymers that are used in electrospinning, drug delivery systems containing nanofibers, filtration applications, wound dressing studies, indicators, antimicrobial nanofibers, applications of nanofibers in textiles, possible areas of nanofibrous membrane systems, analysis methods of nanofibrous surfaces

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Understand and apply the electrospinning method
2Learn and use polymers that can be used for nanofiber production.
3Be able to characterize, develop and design various nanofibrous surfaces.
4Develop and test the produced nanofibers for different application areas.
5Learn to loading different active ingredients and functional materials into nanofibers.
