Course Objective In this course, technological methods used in different areas of nature conservation studies are taught categorically, so that students studying in both life sciences and technology fields can reach a sufficient level of knowledge about new technologies and and the areas of technology that are open to development are introduced.
Course Content Within the scope of the course, students are given information about the areas where nature conservation studies are applied, a) climatic data collector devices, b) wildlife tracking devices, c) mobile wildlife health monitoring devices and their technical features are introduced. Significant steps to be considered when choosing the technological tools to be used in the research, project development issues are handled practically. Ethical approaches to be considered in the use of technological devices in wildlife monitoring studies are discussed.
