Course Objective Students taking this course will learn the biological properties of soil, as well as recognize the bacteria, fungi, actinomycetes, arthropods and various invertebrate groups that make up the soil fauna, and have information about their classification.
Course Content Introduction of biological properties of soil, soil microbiology and zoology, soil formation as a living environment, physical and chemical properties/types of soil, humus, living and dead cover, relationship of soil with water and temperature, classification of soil organisms, methods used to determine soil organisms.
