COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective It is aimed to provide the necessary knowledge and skills for industrial automation methods, advanced programming logics and cycles, and to provide knowledge and skills that enable the understanding of the operation and functions of automatic control systems.
Course Content Introducing analog input/output interfaces of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), sensors, stepper motors, AC motors, electropneumatic and electrohydraulic components. Teaching how to control a system with PLC and programming techniques. Writing programs for scenarios parallel to industrial applications. Application of error detection and troubleshooting techniques by uploading to PLC. Basic concepts and application areas of SCADA systems. Writing PLC and SCADA programs for a sample control system, Modbus TCP/IP communication.
