COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Master's Degree
Course Type Elective
Course Objective Students taking this course will learn the methods to be used to determine the structure and physical properties of solid materials, and will be able to interpret the analysis results appropriately by examining some sample materials within the scope of the course.
Course Content Surface and bulk characterizations will be examined and discussed using advanced experimental method techniques of solid materials: X-Ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), X-Ray Diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), UV-VIS-NIR Spektrophotometer, Raman Spectroscopy, Spectroscopic Ellipsometer (SE), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM). The measurements taken with these advanced experimental method techniques will be examined and interpreted.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1It provides the ability to analyze and evaluate in scientific research.
2Have the knowledge to carry out experimental-based research.
3Learns the destructive and non-destructive analysis techniques for the structure of material
4Learns to use the correct and appropriate technique during material characterization.
5Learns the techniques to be used to determine structural, optical and chemical properties.
