Course Objective This course is purposed that Students are teached the general features of warm climate vegetables, morphological features of this group vegetable crops including pepper, tomato, bean, cucumber, melon, watermelon, squash, egg plant, sweet corn and sweet patato, their climate and soil requsets and their cultural practices. At the same time; This course is purposed that Students are teached the general features of cool climate vegetables, morphological features of this group vegetable crops including onions, leeks, garlic, asparagus, rhubarb, red beet, chard, spinach, endive, kale, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, turnip, radish, kohlraby, rocket, cress, peas, broad beans, carrots, celery, parsley, lettuce, artichokes and jerusalem artichoke, their climate and soil requsets and their cultural practices.
Course Content Giving basic and general principles of warm and cool climate vegetable species and their cultivation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.

1Explain the concept of warm and cool climate vegetables and define their general characteristics.
2Have information about climate and soil requests of these group vegetables.
3In addition, learn and can do how to grow these vegetables and cultural practices (irrigation, tillage, fertilization and plant protection) during growing.
4Learns what the harvest criteria of warm and cool climate vegetable species are and how harvesting is done.
