Course Objective To give information about the compressed air widely employed in mining and design of compressed air network, introduction of shaft hoisting systems, roadheaders, and tunnel boring machines.
Course Content Use of Compressed Air in Mines. Compressors; Displacement Compressors, Dynamic Compressors, Other Compressors, Cooling Systems. Design of Compressed Air Network. Shaft Hoisting Systems; Cages and Skips, Hoisting Ropes, Roadheadears and Tunnel Boring Machines.
