COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Associate's Degree

Course Objective It is aimed to introduce physiological signal monitoring devices such as ECG, EEG, EOG, ENMG, polysomnography, respiratory measurement systems, bedside monitor, audiometric monitors, NIBP (sphygmomanometer) and tympanometry, and to teach their working principles and possible electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
Course Content ECG device and malfunctions. EEG device and malfunctions. EMG device and malfunctions. EOG device and malfunctions. ENMG device and malfunctions. Polysomnography equipment and malfunctions. Respiratory measurement systems and malfunctions. Patient head monitor, mechanical, electrical and electronic malfunctions. Audiometer device, installation and defects. Audiometer device and electrical-electronic malfunctions. NIBP (mechanical tonometer) mechanical electrical and electronic malfunctions. Tympanometry device, mechanical and electrical-electronic malfunctions.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1Being able to understand the working principles and usage areas of physiological signal monitors such as ECG, EEG, EOG, ENMG, sleep disorder diagnosis, respiratory measurement systems, bedside signal monitors, audiometric monitors, NIBP (sphygmomanometer) and tymponemetry.
2Learning about common electrical, electronic and electromechanical malfunctions of physiological signal tracers
3Learning common user errors of physiological signal trackers
4Having knowledge about simulators related to devices that measure physiological signals
5To understand the physiological signal block diagram of viewers
