COURSE DESCRIPTION
Course Level Associate's Degree

Course Objective To give information about physical principles of heat and light modalities, physiological effects, application methods, endications and contraendications. To practice these applications.
Course Content Pain, inflammation and healing mechanisms, physical and physiological properties of heat, light sources, skin penetration, superficial heat modalities and examples. Endications and contraendications, application methods of fluidotherapy, ultraviolet, heliotherapy, hotpack, coldpack, parafin, infrared and whirpool. Endications and contraendications of Lazer therapy and application methods.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
111. Gains theoritical and practical skills about heat, cold, hot and light modalities which are used in physiotherapy. 2. Can practice these skills in clinics. 3. Uses hot and cold therapy agents for musculosceletal diseases and injuries.
