Course Objective This course aims to compare the Turkish and European Union labor markets and to identify the structural characteristics and problems of the Turkish labor market in the global economy as a candidate country of the EU.
Course Content In this course, fundamental economic and social policy issues such as population, demographic change, aging, unemployment, employment, sectoral characteristics, employment structure, women's employment, youth unemployment, methods of combating unemployment, wage, working hours, and migration are compared in Türkiye and the European Union countries.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1-Learns about the changing demographic structure, aging population, labor force, working age population, dependency rate, employment, sectoral and occupational structure of employment, unemployment rate, labor force participation rate, complementary labor force indicators, migration, policies to combat unemployment and employment strategies in Türkiye and the European Union countries by comparing them at national, regional and global levels.
