The postgraduate program of city and regional planning is based on a number of academic interest areas: planning, policy and design, socio-economic, cultural, physical and institutional problems of both built and natural environments, protecting the assets of cultural and natural heritage, social justice, public interest, aesthetic values and functionality and social and analytical thinking.

Our educational mission is to train creative and innovative postgraduate students of spatial planning which can develop rational solutions for actual planning problems, which can utilize the scientific knowledge for implementation projects and which can take an active role in the interdisciplinary projects of spatial planning. The socio-economic, cultural, physical and institutional problems of both built and natural environments in a global world and fragmentation of specialties necessitate the activation of new postgraduate programs in spatial planning. In this context, this postgraduate program aims to gain skills and abilities for team working and interdisciplinary projects and to raise awareness for professional, scientific and social ethical values in spatial planning.
