ECONOMIC LAW DEPARTMENT

General Information

The Master’s Program in Economic Law aims to provide participants with the ability to analyze the functioning of the economic order within a legal framework by examining the national and international legal rules that regulate economic activities from a holistic perspective. The program offers students both theoretical and practical knowledge by exploring the fundamental institutions of the market economy and the legal boundaries of state intervention.


Objective

1. To provide a scientific understanding of the relationship between economics and law: Teaching the role of law in economic activity, the legal foundations of economic regulations, and the powers and responsibilities of regulatory institutions. 2. To provide advanced knowledge of market institutions: Offering opportunities for specialization in areas such as competition law, banking and finance law, capital markets law, energy law, consumer law, and related fields. 3. To analyze the functioning of regulatory and supervisory authorities: Explaining, from a legal perspective, the functions of institutions such as the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency, the Capital Markets Board, the Competition Authority, and the Energy Market Regulatory Authority within the economic system. 4. To develop the capacity to resolve economic disputes: Equipping students with the ability to produce legal solutions in matters such as commercial disputes, competition infringements, financial transactions, and investment relations. 5. To foster critical and analytical thinking skills: Training graduates capable of evaluating the effects of economic regulations and developing well-grounded legal policy recommendations. 6. To meet the demand for practitioners and academics: Preparing qualified experts in the field of economic law for careers in public institutions, regulatory authorities, the private sector, and academia.
