Department of Recreation has started to education in 2003 and first students were graduated in 2008. Education is given in the Recreation Department with 10 academic staff. 40 students are accepted to the recreation department with special talent exams held every year and education is given for 4 years. Our graduates have employment opportunities in various institutions such as youth centers, tourism sector, private sports centers, local governments, health centers, rehabilitation and special education centers, industrial establishments.

To help understanding the importance of recreation as a science in academic and social life and to contribute to eliminate the deficiency about recreation in Turkey, to develop an awareness on need of specialist person, to educate person in the light of universal values, adherent to Ataturk's principles and reforms, respectful to the human rights, experienced and knowledgeable in the recreation area. To contribute the developing of recreation science and applications by the recreation educators that are trained and researches that are done in national and international level and to lead to create healthy and physically active population with trained persons and academic researchers.
