Course Objective Explaining the importance of the concepts of environment, sustainability and recycling and explaining the relationship between these concepts and the textile industry.
Course Content Environment concept, environmental pollution and its causes, air pollution, greenhouse effect and greenhouse gases, water pollution, water footprint, importance of textile water quality, wastewater treatment, soil pollution, noise pollution, ecology, ecological textiles, ecological footprint, sustainability, sustainable development, general environmental impacts of the textile industry, environmental impacts specific to textile production processes, environmentally friendly methods specific to textile production processes, recycling and reuse, studies to prevent environmental problems.
