Course Objective To explain the physiological events that form the basis of conscious and controlled cultivation and the factors affecting these events; to show students ways to control important factors such as productivity and quality in horticulture.
Course Content Plant and cell structure, water and nutrient uptake and transport, enzymes and hormones, transpiration, photosynthesis and respiration will be covered.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite No the corequisite of lesson.
Mode of Delivery Face to Face

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES
1To have knowledge about the definition of physiology, the importance of horticultural physiology, physiology of metabolism (water and nutrient uptake and transport, photosynthesis, respiration), growth and development and factors affecting it and stress physiology
2Learn the main physiological events of horticultural plants (such as resting, periodicity, apical dominance) and the factors affecting them.
