Course Objective
The aim of this course is to establish the theoretical infrastructure regarding the concept of e-government, which has become a very important agenda in the public administration literature in recent years. In addition, it is aimed to reveal the historical development, actors and relations between actors of e-government policy.
Course Content
The e-Government field, which has an interdisciplinary orientation due to the development in information and communication technologies, especially the unforeseen development in the phenomenon of the internet, aims to provide the public services that are theoretically designed to be offered 24/7 in electronic environment in a practical way, as well as elected, appointed and appointed public services. It is a field of study that aims to contribute to the process of improving the perception of citizens in terms of the state phenomenon in a positive way. In this course, firstly, the phenomenon of technology and information management in public administration, information gathering, storage, processing and publication in public units, the network of relations to be realized in the electronic environment and the scope of service of public administrative units on the internet will be given. With the help of these cases,The effects of information technologies on public administration and services will be examined.
