Course Objective To have a grasp of advance information about feudalism and mode of production in Ottoman society, the conditions in which capitalism emerged and impacts of its extension, the main social and political changes that occurred in Europe and Ottoman Empire between the periods of French Revolution and World War I, the emergence of new balances of power in Europe and the place of Ottoman State in this balance.
Course Content Agrarian societies, the globalization of civilization, the reasons for the rise of West and Western sovereignty, the concepts of dominant power and balance of power, Ottoman State, The Age of Revolutions, the Ottoman Renaissance, Industrial Revolution and its consequences, World War I.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
