COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course Objective	Know the parents, communicate and cooperate with parents, conduct parent education activities effectively
Course Content	Basic concepts of parent education, importance of parent education, goals, principles, parent education models, parent theories (Parent System Theories, Social Relations Theory, Bioecological Theory, Structural Functional Theory), parent education practices in Turkey and in other countries, plan, apply and evaluate parent education activities, methods and techniques used in parent education; parent participation studies (parent communication activities, parent participation in educational activities, individual interviews, home visits), Review of the Parent Support Education Guide (EBADER) Integrated with the Education Program for 0-36 Months Children and the Parent Support Education Guide (OBADER) Integrated with the Preschool Education Program.

1	Explain the place and importance of the parents in preschool education
2	Explain parent participation activities and the importance of these studies

5	Plan educational practices for the parents related to child development and education
6	Examine and evaluate parent education programs implemented in Turkey and in the world
