Course Objective The aim is to let students to understand the recent developments in economically important horticultural plants production, to plan and to manage plant production by high techniques.
Course Content Importance and place of fruit growing in the agricultural potential of the world and Turkey, Introduction of new techniques used in fruit growing (new growing techniques, breeding of dwarfing rootstocks, pruning, training systems, harvest methods), Protected cultivation of fruits and grapevines, Grafting in vegetable production, Modern greenhouse growing, Soilless cultivation.
Prerequisites No the prerequisite of lesson.
