Course Objective	his course is an analysis of the literary text as a key to the mechanisms of the psyche, the relationship between the text and author and reader. The texts are also studied as a part of a more general problem of dealing with the constitution of the self and its relationship with the other.
Course Content	In the end of the 19th century, the emergence of psychology as a science and its gradual penetration into literary works of the period will be analysed. How the authors introduce psychology into their characters and the effect of psychology on literature will be evaluated.
Prerequisites	No the prerequisite of lesson.
Corequisite	No the corequisite of lesson.

COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES

1	Learns the effect of psychology as a science on literature.
2	Analyses the effect of psychology on content and form of literary works.
3	Uses psychology in character analysis.
4	Searches how deep psychology can penetrate into literary texts.
5	Questions the conditions and the reasons of literature’s taking benefit of psychology.
6	Makes analysis using different psychological theories in different texts.
